Friday night was the last round of oral arguments for moot court! After almost two months of work on research, writing the brief, preparing for oral arguments (on both sides of the case), and delivering oral arguments in each of the three rounds, the Fall competition is finally over and we have some freedom—just kidding, now we just get to start writing seminar papers/journal notes and preparing for the beginning of exam season. Overall, I felt much better than I expected about moot court, but am definitely glad to have a break from the life of a (moot) appellate lawyer. Guess we'll have to wait until Fall results are released to see exactly how long that break will be.
Saturday morning my parents came to town to visit, and we started the day with a delicious breakfast at Farm (the Babe Ruth steak and eggs with home-fries was my selection) after a brief trip to a cold and rainy Farmer's Market. After some afternoon journal proofreading at the Union, we met back up for dinner at Nick's and enjoyed some Sink the Biz Fries with the meal. And we even picked up an official Nick's Sink the Biz set to go back to Virginia!
