Started off the day by heading to the library early to take advantage of the extra hour from daylight savings time to finish off my proofreading assignment for journal. I'm glad I waited to move to Indiana until they started observing daylight savings time, because "fall back" day is one of my favorite days of the year (you will find out my least favorite day of the year when Spring rolls around). After journal, took my parents to one of Bloomington's classic 4th Street restaurants for some ethnic cuisine. We chose Little Tibet, and I had this delicious Tibetan meal for lunch.
After lunch, took a short walk around campus to enjoy the scenery and take a few pictures. Although it was a bit chilly, it was still a pretty nice day, much better than the dreary, rainy weather yesterday. One of the best things about Bloomington is being able to walk through IU's beautiful campus and enjoy the nature and the architecture. Here we made a brief stop by the Rose Well House.
To finish off the afternoon, we took a trip up to Oliver Winery to have a wine tasting and purchase a selection of new wines, a couple to stay here in Bloomington and quite a large stock to send back to Virginia. My favorite wine of the day was the Creekbend Vidal Blanc, but there were plenty of excellent choices to choose from. After Oliver, we finished off the day with dinner at Scholar's Inn, where I had the New York Strip and some Apple Creme Brûlée for dessert—one that may have even beaten out the one from the Rail!
