Today is the last day the library closes early, so after some afternoon work on the seminar paper and a short break to go home and catch the second half of the Florida-FSU game, it was back to the Union to finish off some more work before the final week of the semester rolls around. The Union, by the way, has this awesome water fountain that fills up personal bottles. Check it out—all you do is drop your bottle down on the (spill-proof) platform, and it automatically starts filling it up. Four times as fast as the regular water fountain, and no hassle with holding the bottle sideways and trying to tilt it at that perfect angle.
If that wasn't cool enough, the fountain also has this awesome bottle-counter feature, which counts the number of disposable plastic bottles it has filled up in its lifetime (my IU bottle is worth just over two traditional bottles). One of the reasons I made sure to throw this picture on today, is because earlier this weekend Megan and I successfully filled the 20,000th bottle at the IMU! Because everyone was gone for Thanksgiving Break, there was no one around to hold our trophy ceremony, but we are happy to hold off until the end of finals since we know it is a busy end of the semester. We will be ready for the awards ceremony though, and we'll be keeping an eye out for our invites (and of course we will bring the famous 20,000th bottle to the show).
